Norman Tamanaha 15K 2024: third year, third in the age group

Three Augusts in a row on the same course, and the series opener is starting to feel like a checkup we didn't schedule. For me it went 1:22 in 2022, 1:14:16 in 2023, and 1:14:14 this year, which is two seconds in twelve months and a pretty clear message about where my ceiling is for a 15K in that heat, and this year that was good for third in the 50-54s. Michelle's numbers went the other direction, 2:16, then 1:33, then 1:31:33, her fastest 15K and eleventh in her age group, so while mine flattened out in the heat, hers kept coming down. Two weeks later I rode around the island again.
